I am five years into my use of Young Living Essential Oils and I love them as much now as I did when I first got my kit!  There are so many ways I use these oils on a daily basis; They are my "mom toolbox", my husband has duct tape, I've got OILS!!!

In this kit, is a single oil, or blend, that can solve almost any problem a mom, or woman for that matter, has to deal with in a day's time.  Something for every emotion, situation, physical body system and more!

Some of the many ways I use these babies are:

*Cleaning my home:  I don't need harsh chemicals to clean when I have these on hand!  I can make whatever I need with a couple of the oils in this kit.  My favorites to use are Citrus Fresh, Lemon and Thieves!

*Air Freshening:  No yucky chemicals that might harm my neurons, lungs or irritate my throat or eyes!  Just all natural scents to lift moods, cleanse the air and provide immune boosting benefits too!

*Relax:  Aroma has an effect on the brain, certain scents can help us slow our thoughts, reduce stress and just calm down after a typical day.

*Skin Care:  DIY, anyone?  I can make a cleanser, toner, moisturizer or face serum with several oils in this kit!  Hello, money saver!  Plus, no chemicals either!  #score #bigwin  I love to make body scrubs with my oils:  Makes my skin so soft!

*Body System Support:  Did someone say "Oh, my aching back!"???  After a long day of yard work, sitting a desk or standing, our body can need some attention!  I can apply some oils to the area that is tense and tight and feel some release almost instantly!  They work fast and I only need a few drops!

*Emotional Support:  Hey, emotions are ok, not having a way to process and deal with them is NOT.  I use these bad boys to help me calm down, reduce stress, release tough emotions and LET IT GOoooooo!

These are just a few of the ways I use essential oils in my home and daily life for myself and my children.   Check back in to The Blog for more specific information about how I use each product in this kit!  There are at least 10 uses for almost everything that comes in the PSK (Premium Starter Kit) and I'll be showing you them all, one by one!

Have a great weekend!

Ginger Chicken Stir Fry!  So Yummy!!!

I'm a busy mom.  I have a family of eight.  I work from home and homeschool three of my six kids.  I want healthy meals, but also meals that don't have me in the kitchen for hours!  Anyone else???  I am betting that many want to eat healthier but it seems all the quick and easy options are not really good for us, right?

Here is a recipe I think you'll like because not only is it healthy but it's fast!  You can use the main ingredients (chicken and veggies) and mix up the spices for a totally different dish!

I made this last week and EVERYONE love it!  I felt good about feeding it to my family and I was only in the kitchen about 45 minutes!  This makes 4 servings, I actually tripled it for my large brood!

Here is what you need:

  • 1/3 cup Tamari
  • 2 Garlic (cloves, minced)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (peeled and grated) If you're an essential oil user like me, you can also use Young Living's Ginger Vitality oil--so good and it will only take 2 drops!)
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 1/4 lbs Chicken Breast (sliced into cubes)
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion (diced)
  • 3 stalks Celery (sliced)
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper (diced)
  • 2 cups Broccoli (chopped into florets)
  • 4 cups Kale Leaves (chopped

**I also had a little bit of chicken broth on hand to deglaze my pan as needed.

    Here's how to prepare it:

  • Mix together tamari, garlic and ginger in a jar. Put on a lid and shake well. Set aside.
  • Add coconut oil to a large frying pan and place over medium heat. Add chicken and yellow onion. Sauté for 8 to 10 minutes or until chicken is mostly cooked through. Add in celery, red pepper and broccoli. Sauté for another 5 minutes. Pour in sauce from jar. Stir well to mix. Once everything is well combined, turn off the heat and stir in your kale. Continue to stir just until kale is wilted.
  • Plate stir fry. Garnish with sesame seeds and hot sauce if you like. Enjoy!

This is definitely a keeper for my family!  If you try it, let me know how you and yours liked it!  Bon Appétit!
